Landscaping in Memorial Villages & West Houston
Lawn care, beds and sod under big oaks and pines, with the owner on site.

Across Hunters Creek, Piney Point, Bunker Hill, Hedwig, Spring Valley and Hilshire (77024, 77055), plus Memorial, the Energy Corridor and Spring Branch (77079, 77077, 77080), lots are wooded: live oaks and loblolly pines overhead, heavy clay that holds water for days after a storm. Grass grows thin in the shade, leaves come down all winter, and most yards have a low corner that never dries.
That's the yard we take care of. We're owner-operated, with the same crew every visit, in English or Spanish. We answer within 1 hour · free quote today.
Lawn care for large lots in Memorial Villages
We come weekly from March to October and every other week from November to February. Each visit covers the whole lot: mow and edge, trim along the fence line, weed the beds, shape the shrubs, clear the leaves under the trees and blow off the driveway and pool deck. Julio sets the schedule. We price by lot size, because a half-acre under eight oaks isn't a typical subdivision lot.

Village ordinances and tree permits for your address
Six villages, six sets of rules. We tell you which one applies before anyone touches a tree.
- The six villages
The six Memorial Villages share a fire department, but each has its own city hall and its own code.
bunkerhilltx.gov- Hunters Creek Village
Hunters Creek Village protects any tree with a trunk circumference of 18 inches or more. Removing one needs a city tree removal permit, a tree survey and a disposition plan. Trimming is not removal.
cityofhunterscreek.com- Piney Point Village
Piney Point Village requires a permit to remove any live tree 3 inches or more in diameter; branch trimming does not need one, and no more than a quarter of the crown should come off at once.
cityofpineypoint.com- When not to prune oaks
Texas A&M Forest Service asks that oaks not be pruned or wounded from February through June, when oak wilt spreads, and we paint every oak cut right away.
tfsweb.tamu.edu
Bed cleanup and fresh mulch, twice a year
Every spring and fall, we re-cut the bed edges, pull the weeds and spread two to three inches of hardwood mulch under the oaks to keep shallow roots cool and the clay from crusting. Prefer cedar or black mulch? Just ask.
Shady lawns and wet corners
Where the lawn has thinned under the trees, Raleigh St. Augustine is the grass that holds up. Where a corner stays wet, we regrade or dig a shallow swale before new grass goes down, and that prep is priced separately.
Oak trimming: timing matters
On big oaks and pines, we raise the low limbs, take out dead branches and cut limbs back from the roof between July and January, outside oak wilt season. It's the same crew and the same rules we use for tree trimming in Katy.
Questions from Memorial Villages homeowners
Do you know the tree rules in my village?
Yes, and we check them for your address before we quote. Hunters Creek protects trees by circumference, and Piney Point by diameter, with permits to remove but not to trim. We trim and prune. If a tree needs to come down, we'll tell you which permit applies; that's a different job for a different crew.
How do you price lawn care on a large lot?
By the size of the lot and what's on it: beds, trees, a pool deck, the fence line. Our starting prices cover lots from a fifth of an acre to two acres and up. After a walk-through, we send you one written price per visit, weekly in season and every other week in winter, with no long contract.
Will the same crew come every week?
Yes. You get a set day and the same crew, with Julio setting the schedule and reachable by phone. A regular crew learns the small things: the gate latch, the dog, the sprinkler head that leaks. A crew that rotates never does, and on a large lot those details add up.
What do you do with leaves and branches?
Where it helps the beds, we mulch the leaves right into them; where it doesn't, we haul them off. Branches and clippings leave with us at the end of the visit. If your village wants yard waste bagged or bundled a certain way, we follow that rule. Ask us what applies on your street.
Can you fix the wet corner of my yard?
Usually. Houston clay drains slowly and older lots settle toward one side. We start by regrading or digging a shallow swale that moves water toward the street or the bayou easement, then lay new sod. If it needs a French drain or a pump, we'll tell you before we quote and refer you to a drainage specialist.
Do you also work in the Energy Corridor and Spring Branch?
Yes. Our route runs from Memorial west to the Energy Corridor (77079, 77077) and north through Spring Branch (77055, 77080), along with the six villages. Same plans, same crew. If you're farther out, text 832-968-0346 with your street and we'll let you know if we cover it.
